Goal-setting is a vital part of our lives that most of us engage in at the beginning of each year. Conversely, halfway through the year only about 44.8% have maintained them, and only 9.2% are successful in achieving them by the end of the year. Although knowing exactly where we want our lives and careers to be can work to our benefit, without having a system in place to track these goals, they’re most likely to be forgotten in time. The following points will help you create a proper road map to monitor your progress and get you to your destination more efficiently.
Set Specific Goals
To be able to track goals properly, they must be as specific as possible. A well-known method of goal-setting is the S.M.A.R.T goal system. The acronyms for this structure stand for:
Evaluate Your Progress Regularly
Establish a set of milestones throughout your sub-goals to evaluate how much you’ve accomplished and how much more you need to get done. This will keep you motivated, since these will count as smaller yet necessary victories towards a goal that may seem distant at the time. This can be done quarterly or monthly, depending on your time frame. You can even set up smaller rewards every time you hit these milestones. Be original and creative when you customize your goal-tracking system. Making it your own will boost up your drive to get to where you want to be.
We hope these tips help you achieve the same success and results that my team and I have accomplished. Please let us know how you’re doing, or if any of these worked for you!
